Why A Way Out Is One of the Best Co-op Games to Play with a Friend

Xfinity Internet and Mobile Deals - 5-Year Price Guarantee

I know the game was released a couple of years ago, but I still believe it is one of the best co-op games that you can play with a friend. It’s just as good as Split Fiction and It Takes Two, though both of these are from the same developer, Hazelight Studios.

However, there’s something about A Way Out that makes it stand out for me, probably because I think the game takes a lot of inspiration from Prison Break, which was a very popular show back in the day. To play the game, you and your friend have to ensure that both of you have a stable internet connection, so that you can play the game as seamlessly as possible if you’re playing online.

In that case, I recommend that you use Xfinity Internet, since I finished the game with a friend using the same internet connection, and it never let me down. It allowed me to do all the quick time events flawlessly, and the game didn’t lag once.

In fact, if you look into Xfinity Internet offers, you can find a plan that will give you fast internet at a very affordable price.

Now, here are some reasons why I believe that A Way Out is definitely a great game that you can enjoy with a friend even today.

It Takes a Lot of Inspiration from Prison Break

Though I’ve mentioned this above, I’ll just reinforce it. There is no doubt that Prison Break is among the best TV shows that I have ever seen. In it, Michael Scofield, an architect, is going to jail to break out his brother, as he was the one who made the map for the prison in the first place.

The idea was something else, and truly ahead of its time.

However, the story of A Way Out is different, but it is the element of breaking out that I believe takes a lot of inspiration from the show. Traversing through pipes, looking for different ways out, and always having a contingency plan.

Not just that, but the show also revolved around the events after the breakout, which is something that A Way Out does as well.

It’s a Game About Bonding with a Stranger

Vincent and Leo are two inmates who know absolutely nothing about each other, but they work together to break out of prison.

In fact, out of the two, Leo has trust issues, which he gets over once he breaks out with Vincent. So, the game basically teaches you how it is good to break out of your shell sometimes and learn to trust people for a change.

Similarly, Vincent is very closed off about his personal life, but as the journey progresses, he begins opening up to Leo about his personal battles in life, and Leo actually helps him overcome that as well.

With time, both of them develop a brotherly bond with one another.

You Need a lot of Teamwork.

This is the kind of game that you can’t play without teamwork; you’ll constantly be finding yourselves working together. Whether it’s breaking out of prison or chasing after someone, you have to make sure that you and your friend are in sync so that you can get through the events as seamlessly as possible.

You’ll need a lot of teamwork in the phase when you are breaking out of prison, since one person has to keep an eye out for the guards while the other works to escape. If not that, you also have to distract the guards sometimes so that you can buy the other person some time to get their task done.

It Has a Fair Share of Unique Moments

Some moments in the game may seem a bit over-dramatic, but if you think about it, they are unique in their own way.

These are moments in which either one of the players takes a leap of faith, and the other one has to save them. This makes the game quite exhilarating to play, and it takes the gameplay up a notch, since you have to be vigilant at all times.

So, if there’s one thing that makes A Way Out a unique experience, it’s the moments that make the game adrenaline-fueled and memorable, moments where you HAVE to have your friend’s back. You should definitely try the game out yourself.

It’s an Emotional Journey

A Way Out has a special place in my heart, since it is an emotional journey between two inmates looking to find, well, a way out.

It is a unique way of fortifying the idea of friendship, not just in the game, but in real life as well. Exactly how It Takes Two focuses on couples and how they can improve their relationship together, A Way Out and Split Fiction are both games about friendship.

These are some of the reasons why I’m very fond of A Way Out and why I believe that you should give it a shot with your friends too. I’m sure you’ll have an equally amazing experience!
